| Down East Tattoo Show (D.E.T.S.) |
The Down East Tattoo show is a gathering of American Tattoo artists, and people they have tattooed showing off the work of their artists. This gives
people the opportunity to be tattooed by artists that they can not travel to. It also gives tattooed people the opportunity to get together to show off their tattoos to other people, and if they choose enter their work into competition. If they win they are able to help give recognition to their hard work and talent.
The Down East Tattoo Show is held every year in April. It is located at the Bangor Elk's Club in Bangor, Maine. The next show will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday April 4th to April 6th of 2008. General admission is $10.00 per day, $15.00 for 2 days or $20.00 for the weekend. A tentative schedule is posted below and if you have any questions, e-mail, call or write us and we will be glad to answer them for you. John was one of the original staff members and a very valuable staff and security member all of the years of the show. He will always be in our memories.

Tattoo Competition
The main tattoo competition held on Sunday morning, beginning
at 11:00am boasts the largest amount of awards of any tattoo show
on the east coast. Well over 200 awards are given for the largest
number of tattoo categories on the east coast as well. This show
features identical awards for the artist and the
collector both.

Most all trophies presented are sponsored by tattoo artists
and businesses from all over the country. This enables us to help
keep down the cost of admission to the show. Anyone interested in
sponsoring a set of trophies, please contact us via telephone,
e-mail, or regular mail. For an extremely reasonable amount, you
can sponsor a set consisting of first, second and third place
trophies with your name plate on the back and your business card
printed in the program. Your name is also mentioned during the
awards presentations. Also, the more sponsors we get, the more
awards we are able to present.
